Senior Center

The Senior Center at the Medina County Office for Older Adults is always bustling with activities that appeal to all Older Adults. We offer exercise classes, educational programs, senior trips, billiards, sewing, movies, pinochle, bingo, nutrition classes, support groups and many other programs and activities.

We have a monthly dance with our own house band, Leo’s Jolly Jammers, and offer fun special events throughout the year including Senior Day, Antiques Roadshow, Picnics on the Patio and special holiday parties.

Lunch is served daily at the Senior Center. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we provide a grant-funded meal with funding made available through the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging provided by the Ohio Department on Aging. A $2.00 donation is suggested.

Monday's lunch is a house-made soup and sandwich for only $2.00. Wednesday features Lunch and Learn, sponsored by local businesses and featuring presentations of interest to older adults. It is currently free of charge thanks to the non-profit Medina Senior and Adult Foundation. Friday features a full house-made meal and occasional presentations or entertainment for $5.00. 

Monthly menus are posted in the Senior Center and reservations can be made by calling 330-723-9514.

The Medina Office for Older Adults also provides services at the Brunswick Recreation Center for the City of Brunswick's seniors. The WRAAA grant funded meal is available there on Wednesdays and Fridays; Lunch and Learn is on alternate Mondays. Many of the same classes and activities are offered, and special events there include the Parking Lot Bingo, holiday parties and the Senior Expo in March.
